Model Musicians

Just as every athlete should know famous players for the purpose of studying them and emulating their performance, instrumentalists are expected to know some of the great players for their instrument(s). Knowing these players and "teams" (bands) is an important step towards being able to identify what you should sound like. Below is a list by Mr. Jim Matthews of some recommended model musicians for each instrument. If you cannot see the list below, please click here. It is recommended that students search for these musicians on iTunes, google, or YouTube to listen to examples for their instrument.
