2019-20 Forms

Ainger Band Handbook
The band handbook illustrates the intricate details of how the Ainger band program works. It is also a formal agreement between the students, parents, the teacher, and administration. Topics include classroom procedures, classroom rules, traveling policy, grading policy, etc.
Medical Release and Handbook Contract Forms
These forms can be found at the end of the Band Handbook. They are collected by the director at the beginning of the school year. The medical release is used for emergency situations. Students that do not turn this form in may not be able to attend before or after school band events. The contract is used as a form of contact for the director as well as an agreement that the student and parent have read, understand, and agree to the terms of the band program.
Request for Excused Absence or Tardy Form
If a student knows in advanced that a rehearsal or a concert will be missed, this form may be turned into the director so that he can arrange to have a part covered by another student. Please read the handbook for details about what is and is not an excused absence under the procedures section.
Instrument Usage Agreement Form
This form, along with a $40 donation, is used to rent a school owned instrument for the duration of a school year. As some instruments are prohibitively expensive, the band program expects students that play tuba, euphonium, french horn, bass clarinet, tenor sax, bari sax, bassoon, or oboe to rent from the school. There is a limited number of inexpensive instruments such as flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone in our inventory. Students that may need a cheaper instrument are asked to rent to own or purchase an instrument on their own. Please use the Instrument Guide below if you are looking into buying or renting one of the cheaper instruments.

An instrument may not be issued without an adult speaking with the director. Priority for the cheaper instruments like flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone goes to students in beginning band.
Instrument and Accessories Selection Guide
When looking into purchasing an instrument and accessories, whether it is from  eBay, Craigslist, or a vendor such as Cadence Music, parents are asked to use this guide. Please note: all instruments require accessories to play.
